The University of California Natural Reserve System is the world’s largest network of university-administered field stations and protected lands.
Our library of ecosystems includes examples of most major state habitats. We offer outdoor laboratories to field scientists, classrooms without walls for students, and nature’s inspiration to all.
Reserves are available for teaching, research, and public service, but not general recreation. Access is by permission only.
