-All researchers must participate in an on-site orientation with the reserve director prior to conducting fieldwork. Please contact Patrick Robinson (patrick.robinson@ucsc.edu)

-Pinniped research: please coordinate with Dan Costa (costa@ucsc.edu) and Roxanne Beltran (roxanne@ucsc.edu) for permit compliance at least three months prior to the start of your project.

-Class visits: a reserve staff-member must be on-site for all class visits
