James San Jacinto Mountains Reserve

A reconnaissance trip to determine the feasibility of a mapping project with GIS and Geography students at East Los Angeles College. Geography students at East Los Angeles college will work with the UC James reserve to create a GIS map of the Black Mountain watershed with James Reserve facilities and sites of interest. In addition to this, students will also map out the general locations of the Oasis de Los Osos and James Reserve within the larger context of the San Bernardino Mountains. Other possible mapping topics include but are not limited to fire, plant communities, topography.
