Scripps Coastal Reserve

Institute of the Americas To provide Spanish-speaking high school student prodigies from Latin America and the US an opportunity to experience the diversity, science and conservation of the inter-tidal region. The students are at the Institute of the Americas at UCSD for 2 weeks supported by competitive scholarships provided by US embassies in Latin America. There will be no disruption of any species or any aspect of the reserves. This is the ffith year when a visit to the tide pools is the central aspect of the camp.
