Scripps Coastal Reserve

My team and I will collect pollinator specimens and conduct pollen limitation experiments (hand-pollinating plant species and then comparing fruit and seed set in naturally pollinated vs. hand-pollinated flowers) on the native plants in the reserve. This is part of a larger project to assess the impact of declines in pollinator diversity on the reproduction of native plant species in natural areas. Although the reservation is for 01/27/2014 to 10/01/2014, my assistants and I will likely access the reserve once to twice a week during this period, totaling roughly 50 visits. Actual visit dates will be recorded via a Google Calendar shared with UCSD NRS.
