Chlorophyll fluorescence will be used to measure (in situ) photosynthetic thermal tolerance and recovery to natural heat stress on native plants at the reserve. Additionally, leaf temperature will be monitored using thermocouples. Individual leaves will be removed for leaf-mass area measurements (5-10 leaves per plant). A total of 5-10 plants (2-4 species) will be used for the study.
