Merced Vernal Pools and Grassland Reserve

Students will be learning about the vernal pools and how they are managed for livestock grazing. In their classroom they are designing sustainable livestock grazing plans. Students will walk on the reserve to the closest vernal pool to look at the plants and structure of the pool. They will also learn about the tools that rangeland scientists use to monitor the reserve.
