At Barcroft's high elevation, above moisture & above many aerosols, with minimal light pollution there, I would sleep in Barcroft mainly during days, & at night use my nearby tripods with portable, sensitive image intensifiers, filters, & recorders monitoring skies, & preferably thunderstorms down in the adjacent valley. This research would would expand on my previous Barcroft trips with Eastbay Astronomical Society and my two related, NASA atmospheric missions.
