UCI - Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center
20 Mar, 10 AM - 24 Mar, 05 PM
We will lead a group of graduate students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison on a week-long data collection trip. During the semester, the students will learn about desert ecology and evolution, and during the trip (their spring break) they will make measurements of various physiological parameters as well as make collections for population genetics analyses. After the trip, the students will analyze the data we collect and prepare the data for publication. This study will expose the students to desert landscapes and ecology, basic physiological techniques, population genetics theory, and will likely result in publications.
