We will hold the PAC meeting only from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. The purpose of the PAC meeting is twofold. We want to update you on recent accomplishments and solicit your input on the direction of this new and rapidly growing statewide program. Specifically, well be looking for input that will guide and support our efforts to: 1) finalize our draft five year strategic plan, 2) review and refine our business model and plan, 3) lay the groundwork for a successful five year program review, and 4) identify program revenue streams including conference sponsors, grants, and strategic partnerships. We recently completed an initial strategic planning exercise in January, refined our business model, submitted our budget proposal, initiated a needs assessment of our program partners, and we are drafting our five year strategic plan in preparation of our upcoming program review in 2017. In addition, we are actively preparing for the 2016 Conference in September and hope you will be interested in attending the conference http://calnat.ucanr.edu/2016conference/ . We are also soliciting sponsors. This is one area where you can respond immediately if you know potential sponsors youd be willing to share or reach out to. We look forward to working with you and all our Program Advisory Council members to harness the wealth of knowledge and experience that will help guide our program as we continue to build environmental literacy and promote stewardship across the state.
