We would like to conduct a learning laboratory session in the Monterey pine forest. This will consist of a variety of activities, including censusing pine seedlings in pre-established plots, measuring adult trees for diameter and height, and destructively sampling some branches from a downded tree to determine mass of branches of different diameters.
