Hey Don, I'm looking to start a new project with collaborators at UC Merced looking at mycorrhizae and bacterial endophytes in pine needles in the same tree. They previously looked at my seedlings and found some neat patterns. For this collection trip we're hoping to take soil cores from five trees and some needle samples from the same five trees. We'd also love to collect cones from those trees if possible (we're pretty low on our stores) but with the weather and the timing that might not be possible so we'll play it by ear. Hope all is well!
