Sedgwick Reserve

Geologic mapping of uplifted river terraces along the Little Pine Fault to establish geologic age,uplift rates, and date earthquakes and fault slip rates. Geologic field mapping techniques will be combined with air photo, digital elevation model, GIS, and google earth maps to determine geologic relationships. Optical Stimulus Luminescence (OSL) age dating techniques will be used to determine the age of uplifted and offset river terraces. These techniques will be used to investigate the quaternary tectonic history of the Little Pine Fault and it's relation to the transrotation of the transverse ranges block.
