Sedgwick Reserve

The first grade would like to take a nature hike and discuss the area, talking about the season. Then we will do a guided draw (I will lead this part) of what we saw on our hike. We will finish up by eating lunch at the reserve.The second grade would like to go on a nature hike and then do a planting. They will join us for lunch.I will bring materials for the 1st grade drawing project.Both classes would like to return in the spring (April) for another hike. 1st grade will do another drawing and compare the two, discussing the change in the seasons. 2nd grade will do another hike and check their plants, as part of their science curriculum - the life cycle.
