Sedgwick Reserve

As part of an NSF CCLI funded grant, we are deploying four micrometeorological towers along a strong environmental gradient from the coast to the interior. The Sedgwick tower compliments a tower we have already deployed at Coal Oil Point. Tower instrumentation include wind speed and direction, Temperature and RH (a two levels for a Bowen Ratio), Precipitation, insolation, soil moisture and soil temperature (at three levels), net radiation, leaf wetness, a webcam and fog. The tower will be located where the current met station is located. All data will be downloaded via cingular modem in near real time and accessible through the IDEAS website we are developing.
