Stunt Ranch Santa Monica Mountains Reserve
13 Feb, 06 AM - 13 Feb, 11 AM
Students will be collecting traps then observing how to process small mammals. All traps will be checked at dawn. Each captured individual will be identified to species, sexed, weighed, measured (body, tail, ear, and hind-foot length, skull width), then marked with a non-toxic sharpie and released at point of capture. If approved, 10 individuals will also be ear-tagged to demonstrate this technique.
