Stunt Ranch Santa Monica Mountains Reserve
26 Apr, 10 PM - 28 Apr, 11 AM
First, I will measure some basic traits of flowering individuals: petal length, stamen number and torus width. I will collect a total of 2 leaves from the population for DNA analysis.
When there are individuals developing fruits in the population, I will collect fruits from 10 plants, ideally 30 meters apart. I will use a portable light meter to measure light availability. Finally, I will collect five soil cores (5cm deep) from each collection site.
