Hastings Natural History Reservation
30 Apr, 01 PM - 02 May, 01 PM
The primary objective of this field trip is to compare soil formation along hillslopes in different rock types.
We will hand excavate small soil pits (~1 meter square footprint) in three hillslope positions overlying diorite and volcanoclastic rock types (total of six pits).
The hillslope transects will be located on Red Hill, at the boundary between volcanoclastic and diorite zones.
