Angelo Coast Range Reserve

The California Natural History Filed Semester is supported through a non-profit mentoring organization in Menlo Park. We have 8-10 students who are typically between 18-24 years old. These students are supervised by two qualified instructors with appropriate medical (WFR) training. Our group will be studying the Natural History of California in five main bioregions. We are requesting to utilize this reserve to compliment the field component of our program. Students will conduct natural history literary research prior to their visit. While at the reserve students will utilize Grinnel journaling system for natural history inventories. These students will observe differnet ecological niches within the reserve. Students are interested in past indigenous uses of the land, current research projects, local natural history and specialize in mammal inventories. Thanks you for processing our request.
