Angelo Coast Range Reserve

The purpose of the fieldtrip is to familiarize students with various collecting techniques for spiders (and other arachnids) and to collect spiders for their collections. We will be mainly collecting by hand with minimum disturbance (flipping rocks and logs, beating vegetation, sifting leaf litter). We will also place pitfall traps. We are planning to collect at a variety of habitats.
