Quail Ridge Reserve

As a California geology/natural history class, we will hopefully be able to take some time after we arrive to hike around the reserve and explain a bit about sedimentary geology, the Great Valley sequence present in the reserve, and even more generally about the California Coast Ranges. We will have a quiz on this information at night and then head out the next morning on our way to Yosemite to review glacial geology.
