Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve

The purpose of this trip is to create an experiential learning experinece for everyone involved in this action research team. As the class will have been exploring both spiritual and scientific worldviews and ecological interpretations, the Big Creek setting will provide a perfect place to be immersed in ecological relationships and interaction. There will be no collection of any plants or animal species but there will hopefully be hikes that inherently trailside populations. Having myself experienced the Big Creek reserve as used by an Ecopsychology class this past fall with Diana "Forest" Scully, I know the reserve can be a meaningful learning experience for classes delving into deeply rooted cultural and ecological issues and relations.
