Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve

This is our annual trip to Big Creek which is a culmination of a five week study of the geology, flora and fauna of the Big Creek area. Each child will have studied in depth a bird, mammal, reptile or amphibian, and a plant found at Big Creek. The children will take a field hike to Whale Point with UC Researcher, Jeff Kennedy, who is doing his PhD research at Big Creek. The children will give oral reports during the trip, and before they leave for Big Creek they will have made computerized booklets with all of their flora and fauna. Usually, Kim Smiley has done an animal adaptation session, but we know she is no longer there. We are all excited about coming again, and please send the necessary forms to Judy Kennedy at Head-Royce. Thanks very much.
