Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve

My name is Michael Felch. I am a naturalist, photographer, and avid hiker. I have hiked and climbed many of the Chugach Mountains in Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, New Mexico, and the Sierras (of course) since I was raised around the Lake Tahoe area. I am currently undergoing Chemotherapy treatments for Cancer. I have requested access to Big Creek Reserve as part of my therapy in my fight with Cancer. There is something beneficial in nature that makes us feel at peace, eases tension, and provides a real sense of well-being. My wife and I current live in Pacific Grove CA. I have hiked and photographed many of the Big Sur trails out to Sikes and have covered many miles of the Ventana Wilderness. I believe the Big Creek Reserve is on of the best naturally preserved area along the Coastal Mountains. I know my request may not fit your criteria, however; I am requesting a one -time exception for therapy. Fighting Cancer is about lifting your spirit and being one with nature. I have read your reserve information rules and will always abide by them as they are the same rules I hold for myself any time I am hiking a natural preserve. I have also read and signed the waiver.
