Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve

We would like to use the reserve to introduce graduate students (a mixture of social scientists, biologists, climatologists and both Ph.D and MAS students) to natural history observation during the day of Aug 6th (we will be arriving in the late morning or early afternoon from Rancho Marino). The goal is to hike part of the Big Creek trail toward the Warm Springs and Dolan Ridge during the afternoon of the 6th, retire to camp at Highlands Camp in the late afternoon, spend most of the day in the area around Highlands Camp on the 7th and depart in the late afternoon to Rancho Marino intending to arrive there in the early evening. We are a large group (~30) arriving in 8 passenger vans so one issue will be parking near the Reserve headquarters or opposite the bridge over Devils Creek and the confluence during the day on the 6th. We anticipate working primarily in the higher elevation parts of the reserve on the 7th, focusing on natural history observation for most of the day.
