Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve

It is our hope to collaborate with Joe and any other Reserve staff availble to provide our SORAC volunteers with an introduction to the work of our colleagues in the Monterey-Big Sur Compartive Otter Study, as well as to the Reserve and the UC Reserve system in general. We would love to be able to hike and learn more about the Reserve resources. This is an environmentally sensiive group and can be counted on to observe all rules and to minimize the impact of our presence. The group size indicated above is a mximum estimate. It could be as few as 6-8. We won't have a complete head count until the dates are set and sign-ups can be completed. We can set a sign-up deadline that would allow us to give you whatever amount of advance notice you would need should our needs change. A small group might be able to give up Redwood Camp and use the yurt area with Joe's team. It would be helpful to know whether the entire group would be required to arrive and dpeart atb the same time, or whether we could have day users join campers over the two-day period. This would undoubtedly affect attendance. I don't know whether our time with Joe would involve entering the Marine Reserve. I don't believe so, but we would need to clarify that.
