Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve

The purpose of my research project is to determine the population genetic structure of the Pacific tree frog, Pseudacris regilla, in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (NRA) of southern California. I will quantify genetic variation of P. regilla and identify the forces that are responsible for genetic differentiation, specifically looking at factors such as urbanization and fragmentation. I will compare the genetic variability and structure of P. regilla in the Santa Monica Mountains to more remote, less urban areas.
