I will set up the experiment plots for the proposed research. Sixty plots will be established in the serpentine grasslands. Half of these plots will be cleared of aboveground vegetation by clipping plants at the soil surface. Ten seeds per plot of each of the endemics will be placed in the plots. GPS coordinates will be obtained for all plots.
