Carpinteria Salt Marsh Reserve

The purpose of my visit on March 2, 2023 is to determine the size and extent of D. littoralis and D. spicata populations in Carpinteria Salt Marsh Reserve. It will be a general survey of the reserve. If appropriate, I will request permission to reenter the reserve during the flowering period (April - August) for these grasses for the purpose of collecting approximately 25 male and 25 female plants of each species. Other researchers would be part of that activity and we would make a separate application at that time.
