Carpinteria Salt Marsh Reserve

Familiarize ourselves with the site. In particular, we need to identify areas within the reserve that correspond to zones within the marsh - lower marsh, transitional zone and grassland (Callaway et al. 1990) - and to locate large enough stands of the four species we intend to study such that we can sample shoot tissue without impacting the populations adversely.
