Motte Rimrock Reserve

As part of an ongoing project, we will be sampling pollinator populations and monitoring pollinator behavior. We will set out hummingbird feeders and band hummingbirds that visit the feeders. All hummingbirds will be banded under USFWS Bird Banding permit #23516 and CA Fish and Wildlife Permit #SC-006598 and follows UCR IACUC protocol #20160039. We will also observe plant-pollinator interactions, walking transects and identifying bee pollinators. Hummingbird feeders will be hung from shepherd's hooks on Tues 11/19. All hooks and feeders will be taken down after 48 hours (on 11/21).
