Motte Rimrock Reserve

For the purpose of data collection, I will perform mark-recapture of Uta stansburiana individuals within a 2-hectare area in the reserve twice during this activity season. The first mark-recapture will be in April and May 2013, and the second one will be in July and August 2013. During the second mark-recapture census, I will also induce tail autotomy in 10 individuals of each sex and measure the threshold force for tail autotomy. I will collect 10 individuals of each sex and bring them back to the lab at UMass Amherst to be used in common garden experiments for another project.
