Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Laboratory

On this visit, I will conduct an initial Site accessibility and feasibility assessment (reconnaissance to evaluate whether potential field sites at river reach locations are physically accessible, contain a suitable gravel size distribution/channel velocity/geomorphological features related to the project, and occur at meander bends or riffle-pool sequences within upland reaches of the San Joaquin and/or Merced Rivers in proximity to VESR/SNARL. I will attend meetings with agency scientists and/or property managers related to potential field sites, and/or assess whether permits will be required if that particular site is selected for continued field study under this project.
