We will collect fish (tui chub hybrids (Siphateles bicolor obesa X S.b. snyderi) from Crowley Lake; River springs pupfish (Cyprinodon nevadensis amargosae) from River Springs Lake Ecological Reserve; If time permits, western mosquitofish (Gambusoia affinis) from Fish Slough, Bishop) in collaboration with Steve Parmenter, Associate Fishery Biologist with California Department of Fish and Game and under U.S. Fish and Wildlife Permit (# TE126141-2), California Department of Fish and Game collecting permit (# SC 9459), ND Game and Fish Department importation permit (# I22-12) and NDSU IACUC protocol (#0902). These fish are needed for experiments to evaluate multi-species community dynamics. We will collect fish from a few locations around Crowley Lake and School Springs area and hope to ship to NDSU from Mammoth Lakes. The SNARL location provides a prime hub for our activities.
