We will continue our behavioral studies of Belding's ground squirrels. Work will focus on the role of social recognition on mate choice and male fertilization success, as well as the role of stress hormones in learning and memory. Work will be conducted at various field sites near SNARL, as well as in the Animal Quarter and the ground squirrel enclosures at SNARL.
