Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Laboratory

This request is a continuation of our research on how the sagebrush ecosystem responds to altered snow depth and melt timing conditions that are analouges of future climate changes. Graduate students will be working at the SNARL, Deadman and June Lake snow fences. Tasks will include monitoring snow fence conditions, making fence repairs, checking plot conditions, measuring snow depth (if any), downloading soil moisture and temperature dataloggers, and downloading weather stations.There will be no introductions of novel genotypes or invasive species. We will not be working with vetebrates.USFS and Caltrans permits are current (though both will need to be updated soon).
