We will be conducting routine maintenance (adjustments, replacements, tightening/replacing fasteners, cleaning, adding new fixtures, testing sensors, downloading dataloggers, etc.) on our existing snowfences in the Inyo NF adjacent to SNARL. We will also be constructing some new snowfences in this area, as well as conducting routine maintenance on instruments at the snowfences along US Hwy 395. The new snowfences near SNARL may be included within the prior burn site, as discussed by Amy Concilio and Dan Dawson during summer 2007. Amy will also be using Alden and Holly's existing snowfence manipulations, reducing the need for a greater number of new fences. We have existing permits from Caltrans and Inyo NF. Updates are in progress with LADWP and Inyo NF. We will not be handling animals, nor introducing non-native species.
