Santa Cruz Island Reserve

The May visit to Santa Cruz Island is primarily a planning faculty retreat. Faculty from CSUCI and Channel Islands National Park Scientists will work cooperatively to plan and implement proposed research, group workshops, and expand learning opportunities in the Channel Islands. The group will explore research opportunities and investigate possible research site locations on the island.Needs: Housing for 20, vehicle for transportation around the island, a boat for near shore exploration, and pick-up and transportation from the boat dock.No collecting is anticipated during this visit. No impacts to natural systems will be associated with group activities.
