Santa Cruz Island Reserve

We are interested in evaluating the feasibility for observational studies of the Santa Cruz Island Scrub Jay. We have particular interests in behavioral adaptations to island habitats, including neophobia/neophilia, exploratory behavior, niche breadth, innovation, play, and vocal dialects. This application is for preliminary observations on an already banded population. We do not plan to capture or handle the animals.
