Santa Cruz Island Reserve

This Fall we will have two graduate students (Katie Langin and Mario Pesendorfer) and three field technicians working on the Island Scrub-Jay project. Their main goals will involve (1) catching jays to take morphological measurements and collect tissue samples, (2) extending our long-term demography data from the Field Station, Portezuela, and Coches study plots, (3) collecting behavioral data, (4) doing acorn surveys, and (5) pilot testing a radio-transmitter study.
