Santa Cruz Island Reserve

Contractors will mobilize equipment to Prisoners Harbor, excavate wetland, place and smooth fill, install erosion control cloth in fill disposal area, demobilize equipment and return to the mainland. An archeological monitor and a Native American monitor will be onsite during all ground disturbing activities. There will be 8 people traveling between the field station and the job site at Prisoners. They will need a vehicle (or two vehicles) during their stay. Tentative dates for the work are from September 14 through October 16, 2011. I will soon be meeting with Erick Ammon's Project Manager and we will lock in the construction dates. I wanted to make sure housing and vehicles were reserved early.
