Santa Cruz Island Reserve

I will be re-staking several of the survey points on a Breeding Bird Survey Route established back in 2004. This will entail taking a gps unit and verifying each breeding bird point count location and if necessary re-staking it for quick identificaiton from a vehicle. Since this is a 25 mile route, and I will also be spending some time this weekend with the island jay research team (Katie Langin), I will likely have to come out one more time to finish checking all of the points prior to conducting a survey next spring.
