Santa Cruz Island Reserve

Investigation of the stratigraphy, structure, and tectonics of Santa Cruz Island in relation to similar rocks and structures on the adjacent California mainland. No geologic, biologic, or cultural resources will be disturbed. We plan on visiting beaches from the western end of the island to the southern end of the island in order to better investigate the Santa Cruz island Fault, folds, and the complete suite of Mesozoic and Cenozoic metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. I would like to request dorm facilities for the 20 students and five private rooms for instructors, if available, and use of two pickup trucks with benches in the back. If rooms are not available, we would be happy to bring tents.
