Santa Cruz Island Reserve

The purpose of this trip is to introduce some of the members of UCSB Society of Anthropology students to Santa Cruz island. We will not be doing any excavating or plant collecting but we will be touring the island to view the house depressions on the west end as well as introducing them to field survey techniques and the like. There will be 6 adults over 35 years of age included in this group. There is a possibility that one of the UCSB grad students doing work on the island will accompany us, in which case she will be showing us some field techniques at her designated site.
