Santa Cruz Island Reserve

We would like this to be an educational field trip for students and faculty in the earth science department at USC who have a range of specialties from structural geology, sedimentology, geophysics and geobiology. We are mainly interested in exploring the geology of the island, and possibly collecting some samples of the San Onofre breccia as part of a small research project. Professor Emeritus Janet Gordon has traveled to the island on multiple occasions and has agreed to guide us to the most interesting outcrops.
