Santa Cruz Island Reserve

We plan to begin volunteer surveys (described above) for the Island Loggerhead shrike. The project team consisting of 10 scientists and NPS staff will arrive on Tuesday May 19 with the NPS vessel and begin surveys and preparation for arrival of the volunteers. Approximately 20 volunteers will arrive on Friday May 22 and stay at the Reserve until Sunday May 24th conducting shrike surveys. NPS staff and project leaders will leave with the NPS vessel on May 26.In the event that the dorms are full, it is possible that some NPS interns and volunteers could camp-out.
