Santa Cruz Island Reserve

Students and teachers will arrive at Prisoners Harbor at approx. 11AM. During 3 (1hour) rotations, students will examine marine specimens, Chumash use of local flora and scientific stream monitoring techniques.After lunch, students and staff will be transported to dorms. After initial gear and room assignments, students will take part in a hike to Central Valley.Dinner, campfire lights out!Morning hike to Las Cascades for water monitoring and stream profile.Return to dorms for clean-up and lunch.Transport to Prisoners via Chumash centerLeave Prisoners Harbor at approx. 2:00pm
