Santa Cruz Island Reserve

We propose to visit the reserve as part of a class field trip. The class consists of ~10 UCLA upper division undergraduate students who are studying the physics, chemistry and biology of the Earth's ocean and atmosphere system. During the field trip, each student will conduct/present their own independent research project based on phenomenon observable at the island environment. The exact nature of the projects is flexible, and will depend on student interest and the availability of facilities. The dates of the field trip are also potentially flexible. Weekend dates between Feb 16 and March 8 are preferred.
