Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve

This study will focus on the following species: [White Alder (Alnus rhombtfolia),Mugwort (Artemesia douglassiana),California Grapevine (Vitis californica),Spicebush (Calycanthus occidentalis),Valley Oak (Quercus lobata)]. We select three individuals per species and collect approximately 10 healthy looking leaves from each individual for a total 120 leaves. Individuals will be selected based on their proximity to Big Chico Creek (within 50 meters).
